Calling all Pathfinder Scholarship candidates!
We have one more Trek Pathfinder Scholarship to award this season. Please use the Contact Us form to reach out if you are interested.
Trek Pathfinder Scholarship [LINK]
In February 2021, Trek introduced the Pathfinders Scholarship to bring greater diversity, equity, and inclusion to youth mountain biking by providing people of color with the bikes, gear, and resources they need to overcome historical barriers to the sport.
Since then, we received almost 1,000 individual applications from student athletes representing 97 teams from over 26 states, and after an intense review process, we awarded 500 of those applicants with Pathfinder Scholarships.
The Pathfinders Scholarship provides recipients with a Trek Marlin mountain bike, helmet, shoes, accessories, and a kit. Additionally, recipients receive a stipend to cover NICA league membership fees and entry fees for a full season of racing.

WHO
The team is open to any middle or high school aged student athletes in good academic standing. Student athletes must be enrolled in school or participating in home-school.
As a composite team, athletes may attend any school and live anywhere in the greater Tallahassee area.
Riders of all skill levels are welcome! Everyone practices, everyone races and there is no bench.
WHAT
A NICA team uses mountain biking as the foundation for a unique experiential learning opportunity.
Student athletes learn bike handling skills, navigation, route building and basic bike maintenance in a fun and supportive environment.
The team will practice two to three times a week from December to May and athletes may optionally participate in league races starting in March.
